A meth fueled plot to kill Barack Obama
Arrests net 3 suspected in plotting to kill Senator Obama in Denver
CBS4 in Denver reported that 4 suspects were captured after an ill-fated, meth-induced plan to kill senator Obama at the democratic national convention held in Denver this Thursday.
Police pulled over one of the suspects for erratic driving and found two high-powered, scoped rifles in the car along with camouflage clothing, walkie-talkies, wigs, a bulletproof vest, a spotting scope, licenses in the names of other people and 44 grams of methamphetamine. Police were able to track down his accomplices and apprehended an additional 2 men; one of which broke an ankle after leaping from a 6 story building in an attempt to evade arrest.
Apparently the four men are somehow tied to a white supremacy group and felt that Obama shouldn’t be president. One of the men is quoted as saying “Blacks don’t belong in political office. He ought to be shot.” So under the influence of meth they made a plan to take a man’s life for the color of his skin.
You know - there are some things you can blame on meth and there are other things that meth only makes worse; this includes stupidity. Meth can definitely remove your inhibitions and make you do idiotic things - Things like taking a jump off of a 6 story building thinking you have cat-like reflexes or plotting an ultra-intricate plan to kill a presidential candidate. However, meth doesn’t make you a racist.
Update: Authorities are saying this morning that these people were so high on meth that there is no way their sketchy plan would work. Just goes to show you that what seems like a good idea when your high - probably isn’t.
